Confirm Enrollment
- Return to your online application and follow the prompts to accept the offer of admission and pay the $250 deposit. Your online application includes your PAC and student number (below the accept/decline section).
- Please set up your UW NetID (email/computer account) as soon as possible and create your password/UW NetID. Your CSE NetID will be automatically set up for you and will match your UW NetID.
Your UW NetID and password will allow you to access MyUW, which is the student portal to registration, UW email, employee information (taxes, earnings) among a lot of other things. When you receive the registration/enrollment packet, you may want to explore MyUW to get familiar with it–use your UW NetId, set your password.
- Let us know if you are having any trouble creating the UW NetID and/or paying the Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD).
International Students
- Re-enter your online application and go to “application status”. Select “accept admission offer” to start the I-20 preparation process.
If you have questions when filling out the form, please review the detials on the UW Graduate School’s webpage for admitted international graduate students. It’s best to start the I-20 process as soon as possible, since visa processing is unpredictable. The total value of the annual support (Autumn through Spring quarters) is $65,895.
Setting Up Your Preferred Name
- Log into https://identity.uw.edu/ and follow the directions to set or change your preferred name with the University. You may choose a different first, middle, and/or last name as your preferred name.
The University of Washington allows students to identify the name they would like to be called in classroom settings and when interacting with University personnel. This preferred name is used in a variety of applications. If you prefer to go by anything other than your legal name, you will want to set up your preferred name in the UW system as soon as possible.
